Right now Tik Tok has a lot of videos where people are dying and shaving parts of their hair off because they have nothing else to do. I do like these videos and they're inspiring to watch but when I see a lot of people modifying their hair on my For You Page it makes me question if it's being done more as a trend.
I don't really have that strong of an opinion on it but I definitely think it's something to be aware of. As someone who is always looking to change up their style it makes me want to ask the people who are modifying themselves one question: Are you shaving all of your hair off just because you saw someone do it or because you actually want to and you think it looks good on you?
Some of my friends have already dyed their hair and I think that's fine if they feel comfortable with it. It bugs me only if people want to do it as a trend.
As a side note, here's some things you can do during quarantine that don't involve dying or cutting your hair:
- Catching up on old homework/doing your daily online homework
- Organizing your room/shelves/anything you feel needs organizing, even Spotify playlists
- Sending letters to places like nursing homes and bagging lunches and meals for those who don't have homes
And lots more...

I hadn't thought of people dying their hair because of quarantine as a trend. It's crazy how people will do things based on the fact that "everyone" is doing it. Very interesting!! - Denisse
