I reclaimed my art page on Instagram,"geo_the_artist", as of today. I created this page back in August of 2019 and it came in handy when my art teacher was like "You guys are going to have to set up an art Instagram so you can post your daily assignments to it." back when I took Advanced Drawing first semester.
Over the course of this break I've had a lot of time to do art and catch up things I haven't previously had time for. Back in the Summer of 2019 I was asked by my mom's boss to create a butterfly tattoo sleeve for her. As of right now I hadn't started on it until 3 days ago because school had been backing me up. At first it was hard layering and drawing out the design because I don't draw leaves and flowers that often. My default art style when I'm not doing an assignment is based off of fanart. I have the capacity to draw other things but I mainly draw a lot of Kpop artists, Asian artists, and just more people than objects in general. This tattoo sleeve is going to be slightly challenging, but so far I think it's off to a good start.
I have a lot of Inktober posts and some earlier posts where I explored drawing with copic markers (which are now my best friends). Participating in Inktober and the daily assignments I was given really helped me get over my usual artist's block and made me step out of my comfort zone. When reviewing our art during finals at the end of first semester I felt like I was a better artist after looking at my portfolio.
Once I get my mental health and self-improvement in check I plan on expanding my art page so that it gets more recognition.
I also want to expand my Redbubble shop, which you can browse through here.
I love your art. Girl you are so talented I wish I had those skills.
